History repeats itself as tragedy then as farce as the man said. I am working on a post about the assassination of Mostafa Roshan in Iran last week. In relation to the ethics of 'justified murder' being deployed, Machiavelli's words came to mind - "Many have imagined republics and principalities which have never been seen or known to exist in reality; for how we live is so far removed from how we ought to live, that he who abandons what is done for what ought to be done, will rather bring about his own ruin than his preservation. "
I spent most of yesterday listening and reading speeches by Martin Luther King.
Seems like he and Machiavelli had a lot in common.
Yes, it was murder. Assassination makes sound sort of "legal".
Too many people that pretend to listen and obey God.
