China's CRRC Corporation has won its second major contract in the United States after the Chicago transport authority accepted its 1.3 billion dollars bid to build rail cars for the city.
The Chicago Transit Authority said on Wednesday that it had awarded the order to build 846 rail cars to CRRC subsidiary CSR Sifang America, which had submitted the lowest bid.READ MORE
The CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., a subsidiary of the China Railway Rolling Stock Corp., the country's biggest train manufacturer, announced on Wednesday that the subway cars developed for Iran have officially rolled off the assembly line in Changchun, the capital of Jilin province, according to the China News Service website.
These subway trains will be used for operation on the subway Line 2 in Mashhad, Iran's holiest and second-biggest city. The order from Iran included a total of 100 vehicles, a portion of which will be produced by Tehran Wagon Manufacturing, a joint venture between Iran and the CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Co.READ MORE
